MARRAKESH EXPRESS
Beautifully Updated Ocean 48 Cockpit Motor Yacht
Moe photos to come!
Marrakesh Express is a beautifully maintained Ocean 48 Cockpit Motor Yacht that combines the comfort of an aft-cabin cruiser with the confidence and performance expected from a proven offshore design. With an extensive list of upgrades, modern amenities, and meticulous care throughout her ownership, she represents an outstanding opportunity for buyers seeking a turnkey cruising yacht.
In 2007, she was repowered with twin Cummins QSC 8.3L 540 HP diesel engines, now showing approximately 860 hours, providing dependable performance and efficient cruising. The current owner has continually invested in both cosmetic and mechanical improvements, resulting in a vessel that shows exceptional pride of ownership from bow to stern.
Recent enhancements include upgraded Garmin electronics, a refreshed interior with updated fabrics and window treatments, renovated countertops, SeaDek flooring in the cockpit and on the swim platform, full enclosures for both the flybridge and aft deck, along with numerous additional upgrades that enhance both comfort and functionality.
Her spacious three-stateroom, two-head layout comfortably accommodates owners and guests alike. The full-beam owner's suite features a centerline queen berth, generous storage, private climate controls, and an ensuite head with a separate shower. Forward, the VIP stateroom offers another centerline queen berth with private access to the guest head, while the third stateroom provides a double berth and convenient hidden washer/dryer combination.
Whether your plans include extended cruising, entertaining friends, or spending weekends on the water, Marrakesh Express delivers the space, amenities, and quality expected in a premium motor yacht.
Cockpit
The cockpit is designed for easy boarding from floating docks or fixed piers and offers a practical, functional space for line handling, fishing, or relaxing close to the water. Recently installed SeaDek flooring provides excellent footing and a modern appearance.
Additional cockpit features include:
- Transom door with access to the swim platform
- Lazarette storage beneath the cockpit sole
- Starboard-mounted engine and bow thruster controls for docking
- 50-amp Glendenning shore power system
Aft Deck & Flybridge
Protected beneath a factory hardtop and enclosed for all-season enjoyment, the aft deck serves as an inviting outdoor living area perfect for entertaining. Comfortable lounge seating is arranged to both port and starboard, while the portside wet bar is equipped with an electric grill, wine chiller, ice maker, and sink for effortless outdoor dining.
Port and starboard boarding doors provide convenient side deck access, while molded steps lead to the enclosed flybridge above.
The flybridge offers outstanding visibility from the centerline helm and features a captain's chair, companion seating, and an expansive wraparound guest lounge, creating an ideal setting whether underway or at anchor.
Salon & Galley
Entering through the sliding glass aft door, the salon welcomes guests with a bright, open floorplan accented by tasteful updates and quality finishes.
To port, a large L-shaped sofa with built-in storage creates a comfortable conversation area centered around a cocktail table. The galley, located just forward, has been updated with modern countertops, drawer-style refrigeration, abundant cabinetry, and everything needed for extended cruising.
Opposite the galley, the curved dinette provides comfortable dining accommodations beneath concealed overhead cabinetry housing a flat-screen television. A barrel chair aft completes the salon seating while adding additional hidden storage.
Guest Accommodations
The guest accommodations are thoughtfully arranged to maximize privacy and comfort.
The starboard guest cabin features a double berth, hanging closet, drawer storage, and a concealed washer/dryer combination. Across the companionway, the guest head includes a VacuFlush toilet, updated vanity and countertop, sink, and a separate enclosed shower.
The forward VIP stateroom offers a centerline queen berth, ample hanging closet and drawer storage, overhead hatch, flat-screen television, dedicated air conditioning controls, and direct access to the guest head.
Owner's Stateroom
A private companionway leads aft to the impressive full-beam owner's suite.
Designed as a true retreat, the stateroom features a centerline queen berth, extensive drawer storage, dual hanging closets, a vanity with seating, private climate controls, flat-screen television, and a spacious ensuite head complete with a separate shower stall.
Updated soft goods, window treatments, and interior finishes create a warm, inviting atmosphere that complements the yacht's overall quality and level of care.
