Mathews
*Major Price Reduction* Introducing the 2006 Switch 55, Fantazia - an exceptional owner's version performance cruising catamaran, meticulously refitted over her lifetime and prepared for world voyaging! Fantazia, has undergone extensive upgrades over the years, with no expenses spared. The dedicated owner has invested over $175,000 in upgrades more recently. Among the notable enhancements are complete paint job for the decks and hulls in 2017, upgraded composite standing rigging in 2017, new saildrives in 2022, upgraded Lithium House Battery Bank with A/C soft start in. 2020, and an array of other notable upgrades. For serious inquiries, we are more than happy to provide a comprehensive list detailing the entirety of the investment made in her restoration. The Switch 55 represents a stretched and high-performance version of the renowned Switch 51. In addition to its impressive speed and enhanced comfort, the extended length grants additional interior volume, ideal for accommodating all your provisions and family essentials. This invaluable feature is a true advantage in bluewater cruising. Crafted by VPLP as a state-of-the-art performance cruiser, this dagger-boarded catamaran is constructed with a vinyl-ester foam core at the esteemed Sud Composites shipyard in southern France. When it comes to performance, the Switch 55 surpasses its contemporaries such as the Catana 52 and Catana 58 of its era. Notably lighter and faster, she effortlessly cruises in the low to mid-teens without exertion and beats to windward with unmatched agility. In my opinion, the Swich 51 and 55 represent the pinnacle of balanced performance cruising multihulls in their time. With superior interior space and remarkable payload capacity, she outclasses performance brands in terms of space while boasting greater speed than cruising designs of its vintage. It is well-known that producing performance catamarans of this caliber demands significant investment. Presently, the replacement value for a similar fully-equipped catamaran exceeds $2 million. However, what sets Fantazia apart is the meticulous attention and care bestowed upon her by her current owner. She stands as a near turnkey performance catamaran, tailored for the discerning buyer seeking far greater performance than what standard charter catamarans designs offer. Fantazia has already proven herself during a circumnavigation and is now fully prepared for her second voyage around the globe. Despite her outstanding performance capabilities, comfort remains paramount aboard Fantazia. Lavishly finished interiors, spacious cabins, and a generous updated galley and salon with dual seating areas ensure a high level of onboard comfort. The owner's suite occupies an entire hull, providing dedicated luxury. Extensively equipped for extended cruising, Fantazia boasts twin gensets, soft-start air conditioning, a water maker, washing machine, satellite communications, and many other amenities essential for extended voyages. Currently lying at Zimmerman Marine in Mathews, VA, Fantazia is safely housed in a professional shipyard that can handle any necessary preparations for her next grand adventure. Don't miss the opportunity to acquire this exceptional vessel that seamlessly combines top-tier performance with unparalleled comfort.
