Broker Remarks
PROBABILITY occupies a particularly attractive position among American-built motor yachts. At 122 feet, she offers the separation, deck space and true tri-deck experience buyers often associate with substantially larger yachts, while remaining more manageable to operate than many vessels in the 130-foot class.
Her appeal begins with pedigree. Delta Marine grew from the Pacific Northwest's commercial boatbuilding culture, where structural integrity, conservative engineering and practical systems were fundamental requirements rather than marketing language. Unlike a series-built yacht, PROBABILITY was conceived as a custom project, with execution, craftsmanship and long-term serviceability taking priority.
PROBABILITY features a private full-beam VIP suite forward on the main deck, with two additional guest staterooms located below and an immense full-beam owner’s suite with separate his-and-hers bath areas. The Skylounge deck includes a voluminous lounge with bar and access forward to the pilothouse or aft out onto a private seating and sunning area which can be protected by a mechanical deploying shade. Wide walkaround side decks and well-separated guest
and crew circulation further reinforce the feeling of a larger yacht.
PROBABILITY has also benefited from an ownership program defined by proactive care. Substantial investment has been directed toward exterior paint finishes, refreshed teak decks, machinery, navigation, stabilization, interior presentation and the countless details that determine whether a yacht feels merely maintained or genuinely ready for continued cruising.
For an experienced owner comparing the established 110-foot to 130-foot American yacht builders and options, PROBABILITY presents a natural and compelling alternative: custom construction, commercial-grade thinking, meaningful volume and proven blue-water capability in a platform that does not require the full operational commitment of the next size class up.
Highlights and Key Features
- Custom Delta Marine construction with proven Pacific Northwest pedigree
- Four-stateroom arrangement for eight guests, including a full-beam main-deck VIP
- Full-beam lower-deck owner’s suite with separate his-and-her bath areas
- True skylounge and pilothouse arrangement with approximately 270-degree visibility
- Wide, full walkaround decks and thoughtfully separated guest and crew circulation
- Twin MTU 16V2000 main engines and dual 65kW Phasor generators
- Quantum zero-speed stabilization for comfort underway and at anchor
- Atlas shore-power conversion, modernized navigation and robust electrical distribution
- Multiple outdoor entertaining areas, including aft deck, boat deck and flybridge spa
- Documented maintenance history and extensive ongoing upgrades
The Delta 122 Ownership Proposition
The Delta 122 is more than an intermediate length between familiar American yacht models. Its value lies in how the platform uses its dimensions. The 25-foot 10-inch beam, generous enclosed volume, and full tri-deck configuration create distinct living zones for owners, guests, and crew without the added personnel, dockage, and systems burden typically associated with a significantly larger yacht.
Delta Marine and Westport share roots in the Pacific Northwest's demanding commercial marine tradition, yet each yard followed a different path. Westport refined the repeatable series-built yacht into one of the industry's most successful ownership platforms. Delta remained focused on custom construction, giving each project a more individualized approach to structure, systems, joinery and detailing. PROBABILITY reflects that custom philosophy throughout.
Although configured with a four-stateroom arrangement, her onboard experience is defined less by cabin count than by circulation and separation. The main deck provides abundant entertainment, spaces, and accessibility, the skylounge offers a second substantial indoor social area, and the wide exterior decks allow guests to move throughout the yacht without passing through service spaces.
This balance is central to her market position. She provides much of the presence, privacy and versatility sought by buyers considering a yacht in the 130-foot range, while preserving a more rational operating profile. That combination makes PROBABILITY especially relevant to owners who want capability and pedigree without unnecessary complexity.
Interior Character
The interior blends anigre, maple burl, maple, and Birdseye maple with carefully executed chevron patterns, beveling, and deep chamfers. The result is warm and architectural rather than overly ornate. Modern artwork, polished stone, stainless detailing, and refreshed soft goods introduce a contemporary counterpoint while retaining the craftsmanship expected of a custom Delta.
Main Salon and Formal Dining
Entry from the aft deck is through stainless-framed electric sliding doors, creating an easy transition between exterior dining and the main salon. Broad fixed windows with electric shades bring natural light deep into the room and emphasize the yacht's beam. The salon is arranged for relaxed conversation, with generous loose seating, integrated cabinetry and carefully placed art.
Forward, the formal dining area seats eight and is visually defined by a built-in console and decorative columns without being isolated from the salon. Storage for china, crystal and service pieces is integrated beneath the windows. A port-side foyer with marble flooring provides a separate side-deck entrance, while the starboard guest foyer serves the main-deck accommodations and vertical circulation.
Starboard Guest Foyer and Day Head
The starboard foyer creates a direct guest route from the side deck to the VIP suite, galley, day head, and the curved stairways serving the upper and lower decks. Built-in cabinetry with a stone buffet surface adds practical service space. The day head is finished with a stone vanity, mirrored wall, and marble or granite flooring.
Guest Accommodations
Main-Deck VIP Suite
Located fully forward, the VIP suite is one of PROBABILITY's defining features. The centerline berth is arranged fore and aft and is accompanied by integrated nightstands, reading lights, and drawer storage. Large hull-side windows with electric shades give the suite an unusually bright and open character for a yacht of this generation.
Cedar-lined hanging lockers, built-in drawers and a dedicated desk provide practical storage for extended cruising. The en-suite bath includes a stone-topped vanity, mirrored medicine cabinet and a glass-enclosed shower with bench seating.
The suite's position on the main deck offers excellent privacy and convenient access without stairs.
Lower Guest Foyer
A curved stairway descends from the starboard main-deck foyer to the lower guest accommodations. The owner’s suite is aft, with the two additional guest cabins forward. Linen storage, a dedicated laundry center, and accessible electrical distribution are incorporated into the passageway for efficient housekeeping and service.
Full-Beam Owner’s Suite
The owner’s suite spans the yacht's full beam aft on the lower deck. A centerline king berth is surrounded by extensive cabinetry and drawer storage, with an office desk to port and a vanity to starboard. Stainless-framed portholes with deadlights are concealed behind electric shades, maintaining a clean interior appearance while providing natural light when desired.
Separate port and starboard bath areas create a private his-and-her arrangement joined by the central shower area. Stone counters, mirrored cabinetry and polished finishes give the suite the scale and comfort expected aboard a substantially larger yacht.
Starboard Double Guest Cabin
The starboard guest cabin is arranged with a double berth, twin nightstands and integrated storage. Two opening stainless-steel portholes provide natural light and ventilation. The en-suite bath includes a stone or solid-surface vanity, mirrored cabinets and a glass-enclosed shower.
Port Twin Guest Cabin
The port guest cabin offers twin berths, making it well-suited for children, additional family members or flexible charter-style use. A desk, cedar-lined hanging lockers and drawer storage are incorporated without compromising the room's open feel. The private en-suite bath is equipped with a vanity, mirrored storage and enclosed shower.
Guest Entertainment
Guest spaces are supported by integrated television, satellite-supported StarLink, and Apple TV systems. Control stations have been updated, with touch-screen or tablet-based interfaces in several areas.
Crew Quarters
Crew accommodations are positioned forward on the lower deck and reached by a dedicated stairway from the galley. The arrangement includes a comfortable crew lounge and mess, laundry facilities, a captain's cabin and two additional bunk cabins with en-suite heads. Direct service access allows the crew to operate efficiently while preserving guest privacy.
Upper Deck and Command Areas
Skylounge
The skylounge is a true second salon and one of the most valuable spaces aboard. Large windows surround the room, creating expansive views and abundant natural light. Comfortable seating, a large television and a fully equipped bar make the space equally suitable for informal mornings, movie nights, cocktails or quiet time underway.
Aft doors open directly to the bridge deck, extending the lounge into an indoor-outdoor entertaining area. The refinished teak-and-holly sole and custom joinery reinforce the yacht's custom character. A nearby day head serves both the skylounge and exterior deck.
Pilothouse
The pilothouse is positioned forward on the upper deck and offers approximately 270 degrees of visibility through the five-panel raked windshield and side windows. Three adjustable helm chairs are located behind the modernized command console, with a dedicated captain's office area to port. Navigation electronics have been comprehensively updated to support serious cruising.
Galley and Service Flow
The professional galley is arranged for efficient crew operation and is fitted with high-quality Gaggenau, Miele and Sub-Zero equipment. Durable counters, abundant refrigeration, generous storage and direct access to the crew stairway support extended cruising. A pocket door allows the galley to be closed from guest areas when formal service is desired.
Exterior Living
Aft Deck
The main aft deck is arranged around a varnished teak dining table for eight. Its broad overhang provides protection from sun and weather while preserving open views aft. From here, guests have direct access to the side decks, swim platform and stairway to the bridge deck.
Swim Platform
The teak swim platform is accessed by port and starboard transom stairs and is protected by removable stainless handrails. Pop-up tender cleats, a removable swim ladder and a handheld shower make the area practical for swimming, diving and water-toy operations.
Bridge / Boat Deck
The bridge deck combines outdoor dining, lounge seating and tender storage. With the tender and personal watercraft launched, the central deck becomes a large open entertaining area. Automatic doors connect this space directly to the skylounge, allowing the entire level to function as a single social zone.
Flybridge / Sun Deck
Above, the flybridge provides an elevated retreat with helm controls, cushioned seating, a bar and spa. A smoked windscreen offers protection without interrupting the view. The area is equally enjoyable underway, at anchor or during evening entertaining.
Foredeck
The broad foredeck includes guest seating set behind the working ground-tackle area. It is an appealing place to watch harbor arrivals, enjoy privacy at anchor or take in the view while underway.
Mechanical, Electrical, and Cruising Capabilities
PROBABILITY was engineered for long-range use rather than occasional coastal operation. Her machinery spaces reflect Delta Marine's commercial heritage, with straightforward access, substantial piping and electrical systems, and the redundancy expected aboard a serious cruising yacht.
Propulsion and Power
- Twin 1,800-hp MTU 16V2000 diesel engines
- Approximately 2,550 hours reported on the main engines at the time of the specification
- Dual 65kW Phasor generator sets for dependable ship’s service
- Atlas Marine shore-power conversion for compatibility in varied cruising regions
- Cruising speed approximately 12 knots; maximum speed approximately 17 knots
- Published range approximately 2,500 nautical miles at cruising speed
Stabilization and Comfort
Quantum zero-speed stabilizers enhance comfort both underway and while anchored. The yacht's semi-displacement hull, substantial beam, and conservative engineering contribute to the composed, sea-kindly behavior for which Delta yachts are known.
Tankage
- Fuel capacity: approximately 7,845 U.S. gallons
- Fresh water capacity: approximately 1,600 U.S. gallons
- Holding capacity: approximately 285 U.S. gallons
Why PROBABILITY Matters
PROBABILITY is not simply a vintage custom yacht offered at an attractive price. She represents a combination that is increasingly difficult to replace: American custom construction, meaningful enclosed volume, a main-deck VIP, a true skylounge, broad walkaround decks, and a machinery platform designed for the most devoted cruising enthusiasts.
Her four-stateroom arrangement is efficient rather than excessive, and her interior and exterior spaces feel notably larger than her length suggests. At the same time, her operating profile remains notably less in operational overhead than yachts in the 130-class.
That is the essence of the Delta 122 proposition and the reason this design is so appealing to knowledgeable owners. For a buyer seeking the pedigree and individuality of a custom yacht, the practicality of a proven American platform and the livability of a larger tri-deck, PROBABILITY remains one of the most compelling opportunities in the 120- to 130-foot market.
