Description
Will Trade.
“Reel Deal” has undergone a complete 2022 refit, bringing this 82’ Sea Force IX to a level that feels fresh, current, and ready for immediate use. Major upgrades include brand-new Garmin electronics, a fully renewed interior, water maker, Eskimo ice machine, a full exterior paint job, and updated systems throughout—all thoughtfully executed to enhance both performance and onboard comfort.
Designed with practicality and presence in mind, she also features high ceilings throughout, offering a noticeably more open feel—especially valuable for taller owners and guests who appreciate true headroom rarely found in sportfish of this size.
“Reel Deal” is a custom-built Sea Force IX enclosed flybridge, combining serious offshore capability with the interior volume and comfort typically reserved for larger yachts.
Built on the proven 81.5 Sea Force platform, she carries an impressive 22’11” beam, making her approximately 1.5 feet wider than comparable Viking and Hatteras models in this class. This added width is not just a number—it is something you immediately feel the moment you step onboard.
Her full-beam salon takes full advantage of this design, creating a space that feels open, balanced, and highly livable—delivering a true big-yacht sensation within an 82-foot platform. The finishes blend teak, stone, and custom detailing, providing a refined yet durable environment suited for both entertaining and extended stays.
The additional beam translates directly into:
- A larger, more functional cockpit for serious fishing
- Expanded interior volume across salon and staterooms
- Greater stability at rest and while drifting offshore
- Improved weight-carrying capability for fuel, ice, and gear
Forward, the country-style galley is both functional and social, equipped with modern appliances, generous storage, and a layout designed to support extended time onboard.
Below deck, the accommodations are cozy yet spacious, offering comfort for both owners and guests. Each cabin is thoughtfully arranged to maximize storage, privacy, and usability, making the vessel equally suitable for short trips or longer cruising.
The enclosed flybridge provides a fully protected, climate-controlled helm environment with excellent visibility, allowing for comfortable operation in all conditions. Designed for both navigation and enjoyment, it offers a natural gathering space for family and guests.
The mezzanine layout further enhances flow between cockpit and upper areas, creating a practical and comfortable onboard experience.
Powered by twin MTU 16V2000 engines, “Reel Deal” delivers the strength, reliability, and performance expected in this class, offering a smooth and confident ride offshore.
For the serious angler, the vessel is fully equipped with:
- Eskimo ice machine
- water makers
- Tournament-capable cockpit layout
- Efficient deck and equipment flow
The recent paint, updated systems, and full interior refit position “Reel Deal” as a true turnkey opportunity—a yacht ready to be used immediately without additional investment or downtime.

WHY THIS BOAT FEELS BIGGER THAN AN 82
The story begins with the beam.
At nearly 23 feet wide, REEL DEAL provides interior volume that feels closer to yachts in the 90-foot range than traditional 80-foot convertibles. Sea Force IX became known for building larger, heavier, more substantial offshore platforms than many production competitors.
Benefits include:
• Massive full-beam salon
• Larger staterooms
• Wider companionways
• Greater storage capacity
• Improved stability offshore
• Larger cockpit
• More comfortable long-range cruising
• Better entertaining spaces
The result is a yacht that feels substantially larger than her LOA suggests.
A SALON DESIGNED TO LIVE IN
Most sportfish are designed around fishing.
REEL DEAL was designed around living.
The salon is one of the most impressive spaces aboard.
Large windows flood the interior with natural light while the custom teak joinery creates warmth and sophistication rarely found in modern production boats.
Features include:
• Expansive leather seating
• Granite cocktail table
• Wet bar
• Entertainment center
• Surround sound system
• Large television
• Custom spiral staircase
• Exceptional natural light
The atmosphere feels more Palm Beach waterfront residence than tournament fishing machine.
THE COUNTRY GALLEY
Forward of the salon sits one of the most functional spaces onboard.
The country-style galley was designed to support extended trips, large families, and serious entertaining.
Highlights include:
• Granite countertops
• Large center island
• Six refrigerated/freezer drawers
• Four-burner cooktop
• Full oven
• Convection microwave
• Dishwasher
• Ice maker
• Dinette seating
• Extensive storage
Unlike many convertibles where the galley feels secondary, this is a true social hub.
ENCLOSED BRIDGE SKYLOUNGE
The enclosed flybridge functions as a second salon.
Climate controlled and protected from the elements, it offers panoramic visibility while creating an additional living area rarely found aboard traditional sportfish. Similar Sea Force IX models are known for using the enclosed bridge as a true skylounge experience.
Features include:
• 360-degree visibility
• MTU controls
• Garmin electronics
• L-shaped seating
• Granite table
• Entertainment system
• Wet bar
• Air conditioning
• Abundant storage
Whether underway or at the dock, guests naturally gather here.
