Growing up on the shores of Lake Erie, Tony owned his first boat at the age of 15. At Michigan State University, he was a member of the sailing team. After college, he worked in sales and marketing. Tony has cruised the Bahamas several times, the North Channel and Georgian Bay in Canada. He also spent time in the Chesapeake Bay and cruising the Intercoastal Waterway.
