Dennis grew up on the shores of the Upper Mississippi River around boats and the boating community from a young age. Operating his father's Jon Boat from age 10. His first boat was a home-built 12’ Three Point Hydroplane at age 14. At age 16 he refitted a 16’ ski boat and from that point on he has not been without a boat. Living on or near the water his entire life, boating is in his blood. Three of the past five boats he has owned were Power Cats and he has a true affinity for Catamarans. Living in Sarasota, FL for over 30 years offered lots of boating opportunities and boating industry exposure. He and his wife Susan have taken their Power Cats from Florida to Minnesota, to the Florida Keys, and up the Atlantic Coast.Â
In 2017 he retired and moved to Punta Gorda. Punta Gorda being the outstanding boating community that it is, it wasn’t long before Dennis joined the team at Pier One Yacht Sales.
